Weekly Email - 7 December 2020

Hey everyone, I finally got a weekly email going! It only took me like, 2 months.

So how's everyone doing? I've been doing pretty good. This week has been cool. Wednesday we had a bunch of lessons. Thursday, we had a service project. We helped rake leaves and pine needles for a member in our ward. She has a big yard so it took us a while to get it done. Friday we worked on making a Facebook post that should be posted tomorrow on our Facebook page. Tomorrows light the world activity is to decorate someone's door with Christmas greetings. We had some foam at our house so we cut out some snowflakes and letters and decorated a less active sister door. It was pretty fun. Hopefully that will be posted tomorrow on https://www.facebook.com/ComeUntoChristinSouthCentralNC/. Go like it and like the page! On Saturday we tried to help some people who are moving into our area. It didn't work out the best because they weren't very organized but we helped the best we could.

Sunday we had a very full day. We had ward council which starts at 7:30 at our church building. Our building is 30 minutes away from our house and we get up at 6:30. We had ward council then church. After church we had a bunch of lessons till dinner. After dinner we helped out with a temple prep class, then watched the First Presidency Christmas devotional. So we were going from 7:00am till 9:00pm that day. We didn't even have time to study that morning. Busy days like that are fun every once and a while. If every day was like that, that would be crazy.

This week has been really fun, and I have kept learning. I planned out the Facebook post, found the supplies, and got the pictures. It was a lot of responsible for me but it was still fun. I am learning and growing everyday. We are still getting ready for Christmas and trying to tell everyone about light the world. It is a lot of work but it's also been fun.

Thinking about before my mission, I really don't know what I thought it would be like. I knew it would be hard, I knew there would be awesome experiences but I didn't really know how it would all come together. It really is an experience and gets you ready for life.

Love you all and hope you can continue to get ready for Christmas!
